Uh... anyone still out there?

I sincerely apologise for my long absence from this blog, but life got in the way! There have been some ups and downs, lots of work, and above all an incredibly beautiful spring to enjoy, so during the last two months my time in front of the computer screen has been drastically reduced.

Instead, I've been busy baking rhubarb tarts...

... and enjoying outdoor life in my garden.

Not much knitting has been going on around here lately, but this has been finished for some time:

Pattern: my own
Materials: 1 large (150 g) ball of Regia 6fädig Tweed, colour 53
Tools: 3 mm circular knitting needles

I bought a second ball of yarn halfway through the back because I was afraid one would not be enough -- turns out it wasn't necessary after all, but I would have been extremely nervous if I hadn't bought it! It was this close...:

Well, I hope to be back to posting (more or less) regularly sometime soon. I still have that Guernsey knitting to show that I promised in my last post...! Right now, however, I have some broken bones to deal with -- not my own luckily, but still quite a strain on my daily routine. I'm glad I still have my old straight knitting needles (I only use circulars these days, even for flat knitting) -- they are great tools for scratching inside the cast!
